We are excited to announce that in February, 2019, Nalandabodhi Toronto relocated to our new permanent home in Leslieville, a flourishing community for a flourishing dharma.
The centre is located in a revitalized 100-yr-old red brick warehouse on the corner of Dundas and Carlaw Streets, with the entry at 1159 Dundas (address here). Our ground floor home is open and spacious with high ceilings, kitchen and loft.
We share the building with an eclectic mix of tenants, from arts and culture venues to small businesses. Last but not least, the building boasts a coffee shop-bar that is open from 7am-2am weekdays and 9am-2am weekends.
Leslieville is a vibrant and growing area with small houses, young families, condominiums, theatres, health and fitness clubs and businesses. It is north of the port lands where significant rejuvenation is proceeding, and is on the planned downtown relief line. Our centre is just a 10-minute walk from an abundance of coffee shops, restaurants, and stores on Queen St. East.
We look forward to meeting our neighbours and introducing Nalandabodhi’s programs in our new home. Weekly group practices have begun with more events to follow. We look forward to hosting dharma teachings, mindfulness and arts-based workshops and more.
