The Toronto Sangha enjoyed a lively weekend of Mudra Space Awareness Training with Mitra Lee in August.
Mudra Space Awareness is a mind-body transformation method developed by Chongyam Trungpa Rinpoche early in his arrival to the United States. The exercises combine rigorous psycho-physical training with focused sensory awareness. The aim of the training is to unlock our inherent freedom and create a radical shift in our understanding of the mind-body relationship to space. The foundational principal of this training is to use the laboratory of the body to investigate the potential of people to experience reality beyond the confines of conceptual mind.
Throughout the weekend, Mitra Lee met with members of the Toronto Sangha to answer questions pertaining to their path of practice, discussing Shamatha, Vipassana, Ngöndro, and Mahamudra meditation.
