Creativity and the Essence of Kindness

In March, Nalandabodhi Toronto welcomed Mitra Mark Power to lead our first in-person workshop since the pandemic.  It was also NBT’s first hybrid workshop, so people in Montreal and beyond were able to attend.

Mitra Mark began by steering participants towards an atmosphere of kindness, spaciousness and relaxation.  The short Buddhist prayer, The Aspiration of Bodhicitta, helped us focus on our personal aspirations for Excellent Joy, Loving Kindness, Freedom from Fear and Being a Cause for Others’ Happiness.

Vancouver will host an esteemed group of Acharyas and Lamas for the weekend practices, including Acharya Lama Tenpa Gyalsten,  Acharya Tashi Wangchuk, Lama Rabten Tshering, and guest teacher Lama Tenzin (from Kagyu Kunkhyab Chuling).

The following weekend, Mitra Mark continued this creative process with a different group of NB members attending in person in Montreal, while those in Toronto and elsewhere participated via Zoom.  Over these two weekends, he gave us the wonderful gift of opening to joy and kindness through creativity, for ourselves and for others.  Thank you, Mitra Mark!
